Chris MacQuarrie, CLC Chris started her lighting career in 1994 and over the years she has earned the reputation of being one of the most knowledgeable lighting designers in Atlantic Canada. She has a passion for lighting, and can use the latest technology to co-ordinate with her clients’ choice of design. Customers describe Chris as intuitive and knowledgeable. Recently, through the American Lighting Association, Chris acquired the designation of Certified Lighting Consultant (one of only 3 in Canada!) Chris blends her technical skill with an enthusiastic appreciation of design and décor.

Mike Butler, LS
Mike came to Atlantic Lighting Studio in 2003, bringing with him top-notch customer service skills and an enthusiasm for lighting which help build and maintain strong relationships with his clients. He has a love of music, art, literature and a genuine zest for life. As a qualified Lighting Specialist he can recommend lighting for any style, but he excels at helping clients who are looking for fixtures that are fun and different.

Mary Kyd, LS
Mary joined Atlantic Lighting Studio in 2005 and is a qualified Lighting Specialist, a member of the American Lighting Association (ALA), and a Certified Interior Decorator. In addition, her training in fine arts, and work on several renovation and new construction projects has given Mary a thorough understanding of design and the building process. She enjoys both the technical and artistic sides of lighting design and her attention to detail and love of a challenge make Mary an asset to our team and a great resource for our clients.

Deborah Nicholson
A love of design, light and the built environment, has led Deborah to the serious pursuit of certification in lighting and interior design. She’s a member of the American Lighting Association (ALA) and Nova Scotia Interior Design Association (NSID). Seeing the world as an artist and professional photographer (specializing in architectural/interior work), Deborah’s visual sensitivity allows her to guide clients toward functional and beautiful lighting choices.
